General Notes & Transportation Method
Using a rotary platen on the press with common cores. There are different cavities and different slide actions on this part. The outside of the part here is being molded by slides that are attached to the "A" half. On the first shot, the slides are only there to create space for the slides that are required for second shot slides.
Relationship to Concept Part
All criteria are met.
Advantages: The advantage of this part would be that the part is exactly the same as the concept part.
Disadvantages: The slides take up more real estate, requiring a larger tool which requires a larger press and more tool work in manufacturing slides and maintaining slides.
